Mark McCloughan Wins 2018 Kunitz Prize

The American Poetry Review is happy to announce that Mark McCloughan has been awarded the 2018 Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize for their poem "Devotion (Reflection)." We received over 700 entries this year and were honored to read so many excellent poems. The winning poem will be featured in the September/October 2018 issue. 

 

Mark McCloughan is a poet and artist living and working in Brooklyn. They are the author of the chapbook 'No Harbor' (L + S Press), and their poems have appeared or are forthcoming in American Poetry ReviewJukeddecomP, and Lines + Stars, among others. Mark is a founding member and co-director of No Face Performance Group. 

 

The Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize awards $1,000 and publication of the winning poem to a poet under 40 years of age in honor of the late Stanley Kunitz's dedication to mentoring poets.
