Christopher Janke
Death Psalm

My mind is not quiet.

I do not think of you dead.

Many who read

this do not know

you.  They know

someone else,

don’t want either

to think of someone

else dead.

Of all the rain storms,

we are alive for this one.

As if you are a paint truck

spilled in summer.

Or a painting

where once there was

a window.
